This training is designed for teachers who will use SIPPS as a supplemental phonics support or intervention tool. Training includes specific instruction on the use of the SIPPS reading program. The Challenge Level will be covered during this half-day training.
This session is for teachers who work with students who have mastered much of single-syllable phonics and most high-frequency irregular sight words. With reading levels between first and third grade, these students have difficulty reading polysyllabic words. We will practice instructional strategies for:
Prefixes and suffixes
High-frequency academic vocabulary at three developmental levels
Sight syllables and their meaning
Registration will close two weeks prior to training.
Cancellations received two weeks prior to the date of the training are eligible for a refund.
